Shipping is done with DHL in the Netherlands, PostNL abroad (in the US they transfer to USPS. Please keep in mind that delays are happening.). International shipments are cleared at customs as “Silicone Sculpture”.

❤ PEGASUS ❤

Pegasus is one of the most famous creatures in Greek mythology. He is a winged divine stallion commonly depicted as pure white in color. He was sired by Poseidon, in his role as the horse god, and bred by the Gorgon Medusa. He was Chrysaor’s brother, born by a single birth when his mother was beheaded by Perseus. Greco-Roman poets wrote of his ascension after his birth and his obeisances to Zeus, king of the gods, who commanded him to bring lightning and thunder from Olympus. Michaud’s Biography universelle relates that when Pegasus was born, he flew to where thunder and lightning are released. Then, according to certain versions of the myth, Athena tamed him and gave him to Perseus, who flew to Ethiopia to help Andromeda.

According to early myths, wherever the winged horse struck its hoof against the earth, an inspiring spring of water erupted. One of these springs was on Mount Helicon of the Muses, the Hippocrene (“horse spring”). Antoninus Liberalis has suggested that it was opened at the behest of Poseidon to prevent the mountain from swelling with ecstasy at the song of the Muses. Another source related to Pegasus was in Troezen. Pegasus aided the hero Bellerophon in his fight against the Chimera. There are varying tales about how Bellerophon found Pegasus; the most common being that the hero was told by Polyeidos to sleep in the temple of Athena, where the goddess visited him in the night and presented him with a golden bridle. The next morning, still clutching the bridle, Bellerophon found Pegasus drinking at the Pierian spring, caught him, and eventually tamed him. After Bellerophon fell off Pegasus while trying to reach Olympus, Pegasus and Athena left him and continued to Olympus where he was stabled with other becoming belonging to Zeus, and was given the task of carrying Zeus’ thunderbolts, along with other members of his entourage, his attendants Atrape and Bronte.
